Sometimes you don’t have a chance to meet up with your bride & groom before their big day & you save the face to face introductions for a few hours before the ceremony. It goes something like this, “hi, I’m Amy & I’m going to be with you every step of the way today. You’ve never met me in person but I’m about to share the most important day of your life with you. No big deal. By the end of the day we’ll be best friends.” Basically. Ryan & Kim were so relaxed & easy going, it made their day a breeze without ever having gotten together beforehand. They gave me complete creative control & put the whole day of picture-taking in my hands.
This same laid back attitude just made for a few laughs & shrugs when the sky opened up with thunder during cocktail hour & sent wedding guests running for cover, rather than attempting a group photo in an open field. Ryan & Kim went with it & we made it work. Their day was gorgeous. They took a summer camp from Kim’s past life as a counselor & made it look like a dream venue for North Bend wedding photography. A first look surrounded by evergreens, bridal portraits next to a roaring river & a ceremony lit only by campfire? Done & done.
Here are a few shots of what their day looked like through my lens. Enjoy!
Big shout out to Lauren from Lulabell Photography for second shooting this with me. How about you just be my right hand lady for life, yes?
