Engagement sessions are quickly moving to the top of my list of top five favorite types of shoots. Maybe it’s a five-way tie with Olympia wedding photography, families, seniors & newborns but hey, they’re up there. And when it’s a couple who have already signed you up to shoot their wedding, it’s especially a blast. It’s a great time to get to know each other & get comfortable working with each other. Zach & Brittany are a prime example of how good an engagement session can be to get familiar with being in front of the camera. They were a little nervous & uncomfortable at first but by the end they were pros & they totally knocked their session out of the park. Or should I say out of the refuge? We shot this engagement session at Nisqually Wildlife Refuge which has always been one of my favorite places to shoot. Such a gorgeous place! Boardwalks, giant barns, big open fields, ponds & wildlife make this place an ideal spot.
These guys were cracking me up all night. I love the genuine smiles in this session & seeing how much fun these two high school sweethearts have together. And I’m super excited for their wedding this Fall! Here are a few of my favorites from our session.
